When the Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrests you in San Clemente, you are taken to the Orange County Main Jail, which is located at 550 N Flower St, Santa Ana, CA 92703. The booking process will take about 2–4 hours before bail can be posted. Once bail is posted, it will take another 6–8 hours for your loved one to be released.

• What Happens after an Arrest?

• Depending on where they are housed, the booking process, also known as the receiving process, might take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours. If the defendant is being held in a city jail, such as the ones in Anaheim, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, La Palma, or Buena Park, they will be immediately released after the bond has been posted.20 to 30 minutes.

• If the defendant is being held in a city jail, such as the ones in Anaheim, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, La Palma, or Buena Park, they will be immediately released after the bond has been posted.
• The defendant will be freed right away following the posting of the bond if they are being held in a city jail, such as those in the Anaheim Police Department, Newport Beach Police Department, Laguna Beach Police Department, Costa Mesa Police Department, Huntington Beach Police Department, La Palma Police Department, or Buena Park Police Department. Even though we get involved right after the arrest, our first priority is to call the city jail and notify them that we are going to post the bonds so the loved one is not transferred to the Orange County jail. so the process will not be prolonged for another 6-8 hours. Once the bond is revoked, more than likely an arrest warrant with the defendant.
